SEN tutor

What we offer service users is a SEN Tutor and Support Worker Package.

This is offered for the service users who struggle or are no longer able to work within a framework of a SEN or mainstream school setting.

The resources we offer is for an SEN tutor and support worker to work with the service user within the home setting to build on their outcomes, functionality skills, cognitive learning, independent skills and incorporate an education environment based on the service user’s abilities and interests.

Our aim is always to guide them back into a school environment but should the service user be unable to attend schooling for any reason, we offer this service to ensure their learning skills are upheld to benefit them until factors can determine them back into a school environment.

What we have found to be a great benefit is working within the home and local community of the service user, we are able incorporate a learning mechanism and utilise the home comforts of the environment to develop the service user both with their education and social skills.

We build the curriculum around the engagement/interests of the service user and adapt learning trends into what they engage in to maximise their learning capabilities and progress them further.

So, we are able to hit key targets and independent skills, giving the service user our tutor’s focused and dedicated time in order to be able to support to reach the goals that are agreed and desired in accordance to EHCP’s.
