SEN Teaching Assistant

RTC Social Care have an exciting opportunity for teaching assistants to work within the community alongside a SEN tutor.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN THE AUTISM SECTOR!

We are looking for individuals who have the ability to work with children/ young adults in a teaching assistant role, that will work alongside an education specialist, to meet individuals academic needs as well as their improving their independence and life skills according to their care plan.

This client who requires support is diagnosed with Autism and Learning Disabilities as well as challenging behaviour.

We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to meet the needs of our clients and to be able to work on their education within the community/ in their home environment.

We can offer you a competitive rate of £15.00 per hour!

Job Description:

· Filling out daily visit records

· Listening to clients and providing them with relevant feedback and support.

· Supporting individuals to meet targets and their goals.

· Using different communication methods as needed.

·Organising lessons and weekly timetables with management support and resources.

· Being responsible for the well-being and safety of individuals under your care.

· Interacting respectfully with patients and their relatives, building a strong relationship.

· Keep all matters related to patients or their families confidential at all times

· In the case of serious side effects or health-related issues, notify the patient’s family/guardian and the management team.

· Observe, monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes.

· Encourage clients to participate in social, learning and activities of their interest.

· Liaising with management and families regularly.

· Driver (with business insurance) not required, but good to have.

As a Support Worker you will need to hold the following requirements:

· At least 6 months experience within UK working in Autism

· Right to work in the UK

· Be able to provide x2 references covering the last 1 year’s employment.

· DBS In date preferably on the update service.

· Mandatory training
